Concrete Repair Mortar with Fiber Reinforced

1. Product Description:

Concrete repair mortar with fiber reinforced complies with ZTV-ING TL/TP BE PCC I – II, Construction Rules List A, chapter 2 and European Union regulations 1504-3 class R4

2. Application Field

According to the guidelines of ZTV-ING and DAfStb in civil engineering and bridge construction, it is used to repair concrete components in areas exposed to dynamic loads. KEIM Concretal Mörtel-R can be applied in multiple layers in the required direction as a 5 mm to 50 mm thick layer. (According to ZTV-ING, the minimum layer thickness is 10 mm). This product can also be applied by wet spraying.

3. Product Features

This one-component, polymer-reinforced, cement-based mortar is mixed with water. No cracking occurs even when subjected to dynamic loads during application. It is an anti-freezing product which is effective against frost and salt and it is water impermeable but water vapor permeable product. It has high carbonization resistance. This product is non-flammable and conforms to DIN 4101, part 1, building materials class A1.

4. Application Information

Surface Preparation:

The surface must be free of dust, oil, etc. The required minimum bond strength of the surfaces by blasting must comply with the relevant technical regulations (DAfStb regulations and ZTVING for the protection and improvement of concrete components).

Mixing:

Add KEIM Concretal-Mörtel-R to water, mix with a mixer or a low speed mixer for about 5 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. Manual mixing is not allowed.

Mixing Ratio:

For 25 kg of KEIM. Concretal-Mörtel-R, 3.75 – 4.00 lt water is required
* Water is added to the desired consistency and depending on the temperature conditions.

(Low temperature = Less water requirement; High temperature = Excess water requirement)

Manuel Application

Depending on the absorbency, the surface must be wetted before applying KEIM Concretal MKH. Use clean water to wet the surface. Apply KEIM Concretal-MKH firmly to the previously prepared area with a brush. Apply KEIM Concretal-Mörtel-R with a trowel on the previously applied surface of KEIM Concretal-MKH. The layer thickness can be between 5 mm and 50 mm. However, a maximum layer thickness of 25 mm per application is recommended. The possible thickness for each application may vary depending on the size, content and location of the defective area (floor, wall, ceiling). If several layers are required, the following layers should be applied evenlyThe previously dried mortar should be re-wetted and KEIM Concretal-MKH should be applied. Fresh KEIM Concretal-MKH should always be used to prepare corners of existing concrete.

Spreying Application

The preparation and application conditions specified for normal mortar also apply to spray application. When used for protection against corrosion, KEIM Concretal-MKH should be applied in three coats. For mortars with a maximum grain size of 4 mm, conventional wet spray systems are suitable for the application of KEIM Concretal-Mörtel-R. Appropriate working conditions should be considered when planning scaffold depth.

A nozzle in the range of 60-80 mm is required. KEIM Concretal-Mörtel-R is applied in order to obtain a smooth surface, there is a risk of structural changes after hardening starts.

After Application
KEIM Concretal-Mörtel-R treated surface should be protected directly from the sun and wind by masking or water sprayed on the surface in order to prevent very fast drying. Wait at least 5 days for drying time.
