PROTECTOSIL® SC EASY CLEANING
Long-term protection of building facades and concrete surfaces is one of the most aesthetic goals of structural engineering. By reducing environmental influences such as water staining, algae, mold, soot, or oil stains, surfaces can be easily cleaned under all conditions. This outstanding success, achieved by creating low-energy surfaces that make the structure highly hydrophobic and oleophobic (water and oil repellent), goes far beyond classical water repellency. Protectosil® surface protection molecules, being larger than water repellent molecules, build a high-density, high-strength protective barrier right on top of the surface pores, chemically bonding to the substrate to resist wear.

Stadelhofen Traın Statıon, Zurıch
Stadelhofen train station in Zurich is a massive reinforced concrete structure used daily by thousands of passengers and directly exposed to harsh winter conditions (snow, frost, exhaust, and brake dust).
As part of a major renovation work in 2002, all surfaces of the station were protected with Protectosil® BHN and Protectosil® SC 60 using airless spray guns.
Despite the years passed and highly intensive urban usage, this protection has enabled the fair-faced concrete surfaces of the station to retain their clean, splendid, original look up to this day.
