Mineral corrosion protection and bond bridge creating for concrete.
KEIM Concretal provides protection against mineral corrosion and bonding bridges for the concrete repair system and complies with the guidelines of the ZTV-ING TL / TP BE PCC I-II and DAfStb and European Union regulation 1504-7.
Application for Corrosion Protection Purpose
This application against corrosion in order to reinforce rusted steel after sandblasting complies with SA 21/2 and DIN EN 12944-4.
Application for the purpose of creating a bond bridge
It is used in civil engineering and bridge construction for PCC I and II applications, to form a creating bridge between cement based surface and KEIM Concretal-Mörtel-R concrete repair mortar. ZTV-ING and DAfStb’s guidelines for building construction.
3.Features of Product
Consisting of a single component, this material is polymer reinforced and acts as a cement mortar and is mixed with water. It provides active protection against corrosion for reinforcing steel and provides protection against chlorine within the scope of concrete repair mortar.
It is applied with a paint brush to protect against corrosion and to form a bond bridge.
For reinforcing steel, the surface must be prepared to a standard degree of cleaning in accordance with DIN EN ISO 12944-4. There should be no rust layer on it and should be free of other contaminants. The sand ramp with quartz-free sand is a suitable cleaning method.
The surface must be clean, solid, open-pored and absorbent. Concrete surfaces must be at least B25 quality. Concrete sand, dust and dirt are removed by sandblasting. Surfaces applied according to the joint sealant and the protection against evaporation are not suitable (sections 3 and 4 of ZTVING and See table 3.4.2). For example; The surface must be suitably prepared before treatment using a suitable method such as sand blasting or high pressure water spraying.
KEIM Concretal-MKH sürekli karıştırmak suretiyle belirli bir miktar suyun içine eklenir ve ürün istenilen kıvama gelene kadar karıştırma işlemine devam edilir. Ardından homojen bir karışım elde edilmiş olur. Karıştırma süresi 5 dakikadır. Düşük devirde çalışan karıştırıcılar kullanılmalıdır.
Approximately 3.6-3.8 liters of water is required for a 20 kg package and approximately 0.9-0.95 liters of water is required for a 5 kg package. Water is added to the desired consistency and depending on the temperature conditions.
(Low temperature = Low water requirement; High temperature = Excess water requirement)
Corrosion Protection Purpose
KEIM Concretal-MKH is applied in two or three layers to the steel surface prepared by using suitable paint brushes. Two applications for PCC applications and three applications for SPCC applications are required. Each coat should be applied homogeneously and cover the entire surface. In order to obtain the required application rate, all sides should be covered.
Wating time at 20°C: 1st floor immediately after dusting. Second floor after at least 3 hours.
It should be applied after at least 3 hours for bond bridge application.
(At least 3 hours after the 3rd floor for SPCC, SPCC should be applied once after 12 hours).
Application for Creating Bond Bridge
The cleaned surface must be pre-wetted and, if possible, kept moist for 24 hours. If not possible, KEIM Concretal-MSC should be kept soaked for at least 2 hours before application. Brush the KEIM Concretal-MKH firmly with the previously prepared area and apply bond bridge over the entire area. During the working period, apply KEIM Concretal-MDG prepared in the form of a mixture (see table “Technical Data bu for this). Hardened KEIM Concretal-MKH should not be diluted with water nor mixed with the new KEIM Concretal-MKH. Immediately apply KEIM Concretal-Mörtel-R to the wet surface without allowing KEIM Concretal-MKH to dry, otherwise pre-coat the surface with KEIM Concretal-MKH. Work with KEIM Concretal- MKH part by part in large areas.
Immediately clean materials, machines and mixers with water after use. Once hardened, it can only be removed mechanically.

7.Disposal of Product

All waste material must be emptied before the waste packages are delivered to collection centers.
Protect untreated areas (eg glass, natural stone, ceramics, etc.) with appropriate precautions. Wipe off any products spilled on the environment or traffic areas with plenty of water. Protect eyes and skin from splashes. Keep out of reach of children.
It has low chromate content and conforms to TRGS 613.
